Training in Brecon provided the opportunity for the team to spend time together developing skills and climbing a number of different local peaks including the legendary Pen Y Fan. 

When forming teams, it’s often the time that is spent cooking and eating together in the early stages that provide the chance to talk and understand each other. The training expedition provided just this opportunity as well as the expected welcoming weather as attested by the incredibly and rainy video that was captured at the top of Pen Y Fan! 

The team went through different types of equipment that would be used in Antarctica and took the opportunity to run through crevasse rescue drills. All left understanding each other better and with a better understanding of what was to come.
